Recently, many areas of the United States have been dealing with severe cold weather. It has gotten to the degree that many are advised to not leave their homes unless they absolutely have to. The one thing that really bothers me about this issue is that you don’t see the state of California’s weather being brought up in the news and online. We are also suffering in this huge dilemma! Just last week, I had to put on my cardigan just to go rake the leaves outside my house. I was so concerned about this bizarre weather, that I checked online to see what the temperature was in my city. My mouth dropped as I saw that the temperature was 18 degrees, but then I realized I was looking at the temperature of Richmond, Virginia. So I googled “Richmond California weather”. I was in complete shock as I saw the number of the degree temperature in Richmond, California-60 degrees. Sixty degrees! What is this?! Poor people of California, having to deal with this harsh weather. Every morning I have to ask my mom to put the heater on because the car gets too cold overnight, but then two minutes later, it gets too hot! This is something no one should have to go through. Yes, there may be a slight difference between the levels of temperature in the East coast to the best…I mean West coast, but it does not mean we don’t deserve the prayers and sympathy that other states are receiving. We are cold too! There was a recent news report I saw on TV that said that there was an increase in sweater sells in the last month. This is CRAZY! The poor, innocent people of California are having to wear sweaters outside and news websites and channels are not going crazy reporting about this? It’s not fair.
