Homework: Identify 2 characters that are dynamic (meaning that they change somehow in the book OMAM. Then, for EACH character, find 5 quotes.

You should have a total of 10 quotes.

Then, identify 5 themes from the book. (Remember, a theme is a message or lesson. It should be more than one word).

  1. Not done? Keep typing and working on your paper.
  2. Done? Double check and share your file with another classmate to look at your work. (use your rubric as well).
  3. When you're ready to print, go ahead and print only TWO copies.
  4. On one copy, you will staple with your rubric.
  5. The other copy will be stapled by itself.
  6. You will be turning in BOTH.
  7. Now, you should log into Power School and do make up work. If I see your computer on anything else, you will magically have a new grammar assignment ^_^ (If you have an A and are a rock star, you can relax, meditate, help Ms. Bui, help a class mate, etc).



Thursday, October 16th
  1. Write your name and period on top right of the yellow rubric. (If you lose this, I will take off 10 points from your final draft, which is 10%).
  2. Today, you will have the entire class to revise your paper and delete the comments that people have left for your.
  3. Your goal today is to revise your paper so that it meets all the requirements for an A paper (look at the far left column).
  4. Ms. Bui will only answer one question about your essay today. It is up to you to collaborate with your classmates to get feedback and support.
  5. We will print our final draft tomorrow, Friday October 17th. 
  6. Anything submitted after will get late credit--> you will lose a letter grade for each day it is late.
Tuesday, October 14th

In your groups, you will be in charged of supporting one another to improve your essays

Step 1: Click "share" at the top right of your essay and type in your group member's e-mails. Be sure to do this carefully to make sure you don't make any mistakes.

Step 2: For each person in your group, you will write down 4 positive comments (that are specific, not just "nice!") and 4 recommendations (fix your contraction ,use this word instead, etc).

Step 3: When your whole group is done, let Ms. Bui know so that she can give you class work credit in PowerSchool. Your entire group must be done in order to get credit. She can also give you your PowerSchool Login during this time.
